Classroom Shadowing


It is our goal to assist teachers in dealing with complex behaviors throughout the district. Our team, which consists of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Registered Behavior Technicians, and Mississippi Licensed Special Education Teachers, will collaborate and help design and provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions.
Data will be collected based on Response to Intervention (RTI). Our staff can help give techniques on implementing self-monitoring, reward systems, and preference assessments. In addition, we can conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPS).

We will assist with schools who implement PBIS to ensure guidelines are followed.

Staff Development

It is our goal to cooperate with local schools and community agencies to build knowledge, expertise, and confidence in applying behavioral techniques in group settings.
We offer professional development workshops on a variety of topics including but not limited to:

  1. Structured TEACH Classrooms for Special Populations (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorders)
  2. Behavioral Management
  3. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
  4. Conducting FBAs and writing functional IEP Objectives that are observable and measurable

IEP’s and Progress Monitoring

Our Licensed Tier 2 Special Education Teachers are available to attend and assist with IEP meetings.
For those individuals enrolled in our full or half day program, Monday- Friday, our teachers will create and implement lesson plans based on the state curriculum.
While attending Colorful Minds, we will apply IEP goals within our program plan in order to help generalize academic skills, social skills, and behavioral deficits across settings and people.
We collect and analyze data on IEP goals throughout the year. Progress reports for IEPs goals will be sent home every 4 weeks.
